I'm OBSESSED with Oregon.

Have you ever visited Oregon? If your answer is no, YOU MUST. Sure, Portland is overflowing with hipsters and housing prices are soaring, but there is so much more to this place than the city and the really awesome things in the city. I'm mid-vacation right now and already have a million things crossed off my list and so many more to go!

If you'll be in the area, here are a couple of my favorite spots for you to check out that make Oregon my #1 place to be!

1. Multnomah Falls.

It may be busy, but it was so worth it. You can see the amazing falls from the highway when you pull up, and seriously, you can't miss them. The falls are two-tiered and feature a bridge in between the two tiers (not pictured) that folks are welcome to cross and get an up-close look at the bigger of the two waterfalls. Past that, you can keep walking 1.2 miles up the mountain to the very VERY top. It was hard, I'm a huge wimp, but again it was worth it. I'd recommend waiting until sunset and seeing the light coming just over the mountains across the highway. It was beautiful!

2. Voodoo Doughnuts - Eugene, OR

Voodoo seems like THE place to be in Portland but be prepared to stand in a long line. If you'll be in the quaint little city of Eugene, surprise, they have one too! You'll be in and out in a flash, doughnuts in hand. Of course you should get the Voodoo Doll Doughnut complete with a pretzel stick through his heart and a jelly (bloody) inside, but I've heard the Portland Cream (chocolate covered, cream filled) and the bacon maple (actual slices of bacon!) are some local faves.

So there you have it! I know the list is short, but this lady has a lot of exploring left to do! Next up is Crater Lake National Park and last but surely not least, big ol' Portland! STAY TUNED, I can't wait to share my findings and even dig deeper to find the best local spots and of course, the food.
